PASCO, WA -- Spencer Roland enters his first year as the Assistant Athletic Director at Columbia Basin College.

Prior to joining the staff at CBC, Roland was Sports Information Assistant for the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) where he was in charge of the statistical compilation for the entire 36 member conference.  He was also an assistant coach for the Lower Columbia College women's basketball program.

Roland was a valuable member of the NWAC staff where he assisted all member schools in the proper implementation of the conference stats programs.  Roland worked with Sports Information Director Tracy Swisher and NWAC Operations Manager Alli Young in producing many of the NWAC championship tournaments during his five years with the NWAC.

As a coach at LCC, he helped the Red Devils achieve an Elite Eight finish in 2018-19 while also helping recruit many of the players on that team and the upcoming 2019-2020 season.

During his time at LCC, he has volunteered hundreds of hours for athletics.  He was the ticket and gate manager for three NWAC championship tournaments and also recently worked in the Transitional Studies department.

Roland has years of high school and youth sports coaching on his resume.  He served two seasons as the Junior Varsity baseball coach at Mark Morris High School in Longview, WA.  He also coached many boys youth basketball teams for Mark Morris and for the Roots Academy.

Spencer graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2012 with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science. He then went on to earn his Master's Degree in Sports Management from Washington State University in 2015.

As a 2007 graduate of Mark Morris, he played on multiple state placing basketball teams including a runner-up finish as well as two playoff baseball teams.

Roland has twice served as the Host President of the Babe Ruth 15-year old World Series, a national baseball tournament featuring 12 teams from all across the country and Canada.

Spencer and his wife Kara have been married for two years.  They currently reside in Pasco.
