NWAC Weekly Update - Feb. 8, 2021

Exerpts from the weekly email update provided to the NWAC commissioners from Marco Azurdia, Executive Director.

  • NWAC Virtual Winter Conference is on Feb. 16th 9am-1:30pm. Register for the event: www.nwacsports.org/events/winterconference. NWAC official digital ticketing partner, HomeTown Ticketing is providing the registration for this event. We welcome Dr. Greg Hudnall, CEO of Hope Squad a school-based peer-to-peer suicide prevention organization and Amy Huchthausen, Commissioner of the America East Conference who will speak to their conference campaigns regarding social justice and mental health support. 

  • NWAC Executive Board Reviewing COVID-19 Testing Companies. The Executive Board is working to find cost-effective testing solutions for NWAC member institutions. 

  • NWAC Sports Information Director, Tracy Swisher, Retiring in March. Swisher joined the NWAC in 2006 and has made many contributions to the NWAC office and conference through his work in website, photography, sports information, among several other things. The NWAC office will celebrate his retirement later this spring and will provide details to the conference.
