Alex Canning, Men's Soccer Offensive - South Puget Sound

 Canning had a strong week as he scored three goals to lead South Puget Sound to a 1-0-1 record in two games. In the first match of the week, SPSCC was up 2-0 before conceding a goal against Pierce. The sophomore captain calmly scored the important third goal to put the game to rest in a 3-1 victory. In the second match of the week, Canning scored both goals and willed his team to a tough 2-2 draw at Tacoma. He has collected 9 goals and 4 assists through the season and has become the program's all-time leading goal scorer with 18 for his career and counting.

"In terms of game intelligence, AC [Alex] is as bright as any I've coached," said head coach Max Sampson. "He gets attention as our main goal threat, but what he beings as a leader has been instrumental for us. Good player, good student, good person all around."
