Whatcom’s Espinoza Named United Soccer Coaches’ Division II All-American
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Whatcom Community College men's soccer player Flavio Espinoza was selected to the Junior College Division II All-America Team by the United Soccer Coaches. Sixty total student-athletes (30 men's players and 30 women's players) were named to the All-America Teams.

Espinoza enjoyed an outstanding season for the Orcas, leading them to the NWAC Finals with a 15-3-1 overall record.
Espinoza led the NWAC in both goals with 23 and points with 50. He had five game-winning goals and added four assists. He also led the league with 67 shots and 42 shots on goal.
In the postseason, Espinoza proved to be a clutch performer. He scored seven goals in four matches, including one game winner as he had a hat trick in the quarterfinals against Chemeketa.
This year's All-Americans will be recognized at the All-America Ceremony and Reception on Jan. 22, 2022 during the 2022 United Soccer Coaches Convention.
