Job Announcement: Head Softball Coach & Assistant Softball Coach, Shoreline
Shoreline Community College is currently accepting applications for its head softball coach position and assistant softball coach position.

Head Softball Coach:
Shoreline welcomes coaches with a vision of excellence in instruction and an ability to employ various formats and styles in support of successful academic, vocational and athletic achievement. Shoreline seeks coaches who can adapt to a variety of coaching situations and who have the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, staff and others in a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity and multicultural understanding.
The women's varsity softball coach reports to the Athletic Director. The coach supervises the softball program carried out under the auspices of the Students, Equity & Success division. The softball season begins mid- January and ends May 30th. Team recruitment continues throughout the year.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Teach softball skills to student-athletes
- Develop and enforce training rules
- Recruit within the rules and regulations of the conference
- Transport teams to various locations as required
- Assist with schedule development
- Assist with softball equipment management
- Monitor academic achievement of student-athletes
- Market and promote the softball program, including fundraising
- Prepare and process all related paperwork
- Promote an environment supportive of the College's vision, mission, and values
- Perform other duties assigned of a similar nature or level
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Two (2) years of successful instruction/coaching in high school OR college varsity softball or four (4) years of participation in college softball

Assistant Coach Position:
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- As directed by Head Coach, assist in teaching softball skills to student-athletes
- Assist Head Coach with developing and enforcing training rules
- Recruit, as required by Head Coach, within the rules and regulations of the conference
- Transport teams to various locations as required
- Assist with schedule development
- Assist with softball equipment management
- Prepare and process all related paperwork as requested by Head Coach
- Promote an environment supportive of the College's vision, mission, and values
- Perform other duties assigned of a similar nature or level
