Spokane Claims 1st NWAC Men's Track & Field Championship Since 2012

GRESHAM, Ore. - The Spokane men's track and field team claimed its first title since 2012 and 33rd overall on Tuesday at the 2025 NWAC Track & Field Championships at Mt. Hood Community College.

The Sasquatch enjoyed a dominant team performance overall, scoring 229.5 points. They outscored second place Lane by 61 points to end the Titans' 10-year championship streak. The 33 titles for the Sasquatch are the most all-time in NWAC history.

Spokane won six men's events including the 4x100 relay to start the day on Tuesday. 

Lane's Lucas Hoff was the men's High Point Athlete of the Meet and the men's Field Athlete of the Meet. Hoff scored 24.5 points for the Titans, taking first place in the decathlon and pole vault while placing fifth in the javelin and eighth in the high jump.

Clark's Koynn Williamdyke was voted the men's Track Athlete of the Meet as he scored 21.5 points for the Penguins. Williamdyke won the 400-meter hurdles while placing second in the 400 meters and helping the Clark 4x100 relay team take second and the 4x400 relay team place third.

Spokane head coach Larry Beatty was named the Men's Track & Field Coach of the Year as he swept both awards. Beatty re-took over the program this year and has led them to new heights once again. Already a NWAC Hall of Famer, Beatty led the Sasquatch men to 13 titles in 15 years from 1997-2011.

After Lane, Clark took third with 118 points. Clackamas was fourth with 100.5 points and Green River took fifth with 60 points.

The top three finishers in each event are named NWAC All-American. Below is a list of All-Americans for each event of the meet.
