Bullock, Myers Receive NWAC Women's Basketball Postseason Awards

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The 2022 NWAC Women's Basketball Postseason awards including Baden Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, have been announced by the conference office. Brooke Bullock of Clackmas has been named the Baden Women's Basketball Player of the Year and Lucas Myers of Lower Columbia is the Women's Coach of the Year.

Bullock receives her second Baden NWAC Player of the Year award after winning it as a freshman at the end of the 2020 season. Bullock continued her outstanding overall play this season, leading the NWAC with 19.2 points per game. She led the Cougars to the NWAC Final Four, taking second place in the South Region with a 26-4 overall record.

Bullock was not only an excellent scorer for Clackamas, but she also played tough defense and facilitated the ball to her teammates. Bullock led the NWAC in total assists (162) and steals (109), and total field goals (368). She was seventh in rebounds per game at 9.9 and first in free throws taken with 163. Bullock was extremely consistent for the Cougars, scoring at least 10 points in 28-of-29 contests.

Lucas Myers, Lower Columbia, Women's Basketball Coach of the Year

Myers led the Red Devils to their first-ever NWAC Championship, finishing 26-1 overall, 12-0 in the West Region and on a 16-game winning streak to end the year. LCC's incredible run through the NWAC Tournament included defeating undefeated Lane in the semifinals before an incredible 76-75 overtime victory over Peninsula in the finals on a buzzer-beating three pointer.

Under Myers, the Red Devils were incredibly balanced ranking fourth in both points per game (72.7) and opponents points per game (54.9). This allowed LCC to grind out tough defensive games or keep up offensively with some of the top scoring teams in the conference. The Red Devils were also top-five in the NWAC in field goals made per game, assists per game, steals per game, blocks per game and opponents' three-point shooting percentage.
