NWAC Renews Partnership with Cascade Collegiate League for 2026
The Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) announced a continued partnership with the Cascade Collegiate League (CCL), a wood-bat summer baseball league that features playing opportunities for NWAC, NAIA and NCAA baseball players.
Managed by current and former college coaches and players, the CCL plays 24 regular season games at Wheeler Field in Centralia, Washington, followed by post-season play. Built from the best players across all four league affiliates, the CCL Showcase Team plays a 25+ game schedule against independent collegiate teams and members of the West Coast League.
"We are humbled to renew our partnership for the third time with the NWAC and are grateful to continue to serve student-athletes from all levels and parts of the Pacific Northwest and abroad," said CCL Commissioner Ben Krueger. "It remains our core mission to provide players an exceptional baseball experience for growth and development in the summer months."
The partnership will provide further exposure for the growth of the CCL while the NWAC will evaluate data on student-athletes from the conference playing in the CCL. The 2025 rosters included over 75 NWAC student-athletes from schools such as Bellevue, Big Bend, Blue Mountain, Centralia, Chemeketa, Clackamas, Clark, Columbia Basin, Edmonds, Everett, Grays Harbor, Lane, Lower Columbia, Linn-Benton Olympic, Pierce, Skagit Valley, SW Oregon, Wenatchee Valley and Yakima Valley.
"NWAC is pleased to continue its partnership with 'Cascade Collegiate League'" said Marco Azurdia, Executive Director of the NWAC. "The Cascade Collegiate League provides potential NWAC baseball players an opportunity to develop their skills and get exposure to NWAC baseball players. Additionally, it provides current NWAC baseball players continued chances to hone their skills as they seek to play at the next level. Thank you to Cascade Collegiate League for this partnership."
To be accepted into the CCL, players must be an active member and in good standing with Collegiate Baseball Program. Players who have used a redshirt season are also welcome to join. The flexible schedule allows athletes to work, train and pursue internships during the week and takes place over June and July.
