Tyner's Walk-Off Caps Lane's Incredible 10th Inning in 8-7 Victory Over Edmonds

LONGVIEW, Wash. - The Lane Titans won a thrilling extra inning game 8-7 over Edmonds on Peyton Tyner's walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning on Friday night in Game 8 of the 2026 NWAC Baseball Championship at David Story Field.

Edmonds looked in control of the game as they scored two runs in the top of the 10th inning after Cooper Barrow drove in two runs to give the Tritons a 7-5 lead. Lane, as they had all night, did not go away. The Titans were patient at the plate with three walks and a hit batter to bring in the first run of the inning. Then after a strikeout, Nolan Donivan hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 7-7 with two outs. After another walk to load the bases, Tyner drove a 2-2 pitch to right field to send the Titans to the walk-off win.

The game was a back-and-forth affair as the teams answered each other throughout. Edmonds opened the scoring in the top of the first as Bryce Moser scored on a Lane error. The Tritons added two more in the second thanks to another couple Lane errors, capped by an RBI single by Moser.

In the bottom of the third, Lane responded with a sacrifice fly by Austin Takahashi and then a two-out, two-run double by Donnie Morgan to tie the score 3-3. Edmonds retook the lead with some small ball as Moser drew a lead-off walk, stole second and third base before scoring on an RBI groundout by Carsen Mann.

Lane claimed their first lead of the game as Quinton Olson hit a two-out, two-RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to go up 5-4. In the top of the eighth, Noah Figuered tied the score with an RBI single to make it 5-5. After a scoreless ninth, the game went to extras where chaos ensued.

Lane advances in the winner's bracket and will next take on Everett on Saturday at 5:35 p.m. with the winner guaranteed a spot on Championship Monday. Edmonds moves to the loser's bracket where they will face Linn-Benton on Saturday at 2 p.m. in an elimination game.
